Thu, Dec 26 - Day 1: Decompress
Akwaaba to Ghana! Decompress and join the group for the DWAA welcome dinner. This will be a mostly free day as the group comes into Ghana and should recharge, spa, and get familiar with Ghana, etc. We are going to enjoy some delicious Ghanaian meals together and get to know each other a little better. We will also be sharing some information about your trip, including some tips and suggestions that we hope will help you make the most of your time away.
Fri, Dec 27 - Day 2: AfroFuture Day 1 (formally Afrochella)
Imagine a massive open-air event with thousands of people from all over the world coming together to enjoy amazing live music performances from talented African artists, dance to Afrobeat rhythms, indulge in mouth-watering local cuisine, and soak up the energetic atmosphere of a truly unique celebration – this is AfroFuture. We are confident that you are going to have an amazing experience and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Sat, Dec 28 - Day 3: Accra City Double Decker Tour
Touring the capital city of Ghana (Accra) on one of the only double decker tours. There will also be time to get in some leisure and personal activities e.g. to decompress, relax, get your hair done/cut, final touches to pre-ordered clothes, etc.
Sun, Dec 29 - Day 4: Umbrella Rock & Boti Falls
Get ready to trek through the rocky forest to embrace the beauty of nature with breathtaking views of the Boti waterfalls and the amazing structure of the umbrella rock.
Mon, Dec 30 - Day 5: Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River, Elmina Castle and Beach Day
Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River, Elmina Castle and Beach Day is a captivating tourist attraction that offers a unique blend of historical exploration and natural beauty. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River, where you can pay tribute to the lives lost in the transatlantic slave trade. Explore the hauntingly beautiful Elmina Castle and gain insight into the dark past of the African diaspora. Afterward, unwind and relax on the picturesque beach, surrounded bygreat company.
Tue, Dec 31 - Day 6: Kwame Nkrumah Museum + New Year’s Eve Party
Immerse yourselves in the rich history and legacy of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president, at the museum. Additionally, we indulge in a delightful New Year's Eve party, complete with a scrumptious breakfast and lunch, at either Waves Lounge, Pub, and Grill or Hydeout.

Wed, Jan 1 - Day 7: Day of Service (1 of 2)
Leave a lasting impression by selecting a day of service to give back to a local organization. This day offers a transformative day of service, where participants leave with a sense of fulfillment and a deeper connection to their community nearby Accra either at the Osu Children Home or Jolly Special School or another option outside of Accra.
